Confidence building
A basic course designed to increase confidence and self esteem, help enhance your skills to deal with problems, improve communication and relationships.

Courses and training
You can access a variety of training and courses through your local Children’s Centre. For more information please ask a member of the team at your local Children's Centre.
Employment
Mams, dads and carers can find training and employment opportunities using the free computers located in some Children's Centres. Also see 'Work Clubs' for additional employment support.
Volunteering opportunities
An exciting way to become more involved in your local centre, whilst gaining practical work-based experience. Call into your nearest centre for more information.
Work Clubs
If you’re unemployed and want to get back to work, Work Clubs offer useful advice and guidance in job searching techniques, interview skills and personal development opportunities. Work Clubs are relaxed and friendly, and there may be one in your local area. You can share experiences and offer advice to one another. The clubs are open to everyone and you don’t have to attend every week. Plus, attending won’t affect your benefits. For more information please telephone Job Linkage on 0191 537 3231.
