trainIf you are looking for work, considering a career in childcare, would like to become a volunteer or are interested in attending related training courses to improve your childcare skills, there are lots of ways that Children's Centres can help you get started.

Children's Centres now work with Jobcentre Plus to help people back into work by working closely with local communities. A lot of information held in jobcentre's is now available through your local Children's Centre.

Volunteering has many benefits, you can meet new people, gain confidence and help you work your way back into the workplace. You can get training to give you the new skills you might need. You can even become a volunteer in Children's Centres; our leaflet Volunteering in Sunderland Children's Centres (pdf download) explains how.
